The US law enforcement agents are going undercover on the social networking sites like Facebook and MySpace to access the social networks of suspects and to search for evidence or even to track suspects. Marc Zwillinger, a former U.S. cybersecurity prosecutor, said investigators should be able to go undercover in the online world the same way they do in the real world, even if such conduct is barred by a company’s rules. But there have to be limits, he said. Facebook company spokesman Andrew Noyes told that Facebook has a handbook for helping law enforcement agents to understand “the proper ways to request information from Facebook to aid investigations.”
In India, the CBI could use the social networking sites to acess the information. How do you think it would be helpful in the Indian Scenario?
