Google eBook Store called Google Editions is expected to launch in December end in the US and will be available internationally in the first quarter of 2011. Google will be introducing a “Read Anywhere” feature which will provide them a competitive advantage over the existing book sellers. With this feature we can buy the books from Google Editions or from other book sellers and link them to your Google Account, where we could add it to our personal library. And to read the books anywhere, all we need is to carry a gadget with a browser.
The expected launch of Google Editions was earlier in 2010. “Because of the complexity of this project, we didn’t want to come out with something that wasn’t thorough,” said Scott Dougall, Google product management director.
