Optional Meeting Attendees is a new feature introduced by Google in the Google Calender. When we create a meeting invite in Google Calender, we can use this feature to specify who are the optional members for the meeting. In a meeting there are always two categories, the crucial members (who would be holding the meetings or taking the decisions) and the optional members (who may be just collecting information or may be a part of some other crucial project and it may not be a necessity that they take part in that meeting).
How can we use this feature
- When we have to create an event in Google Calender. Click on the link “Make some attendees optional” to make the attendees optional. (Refer Fig 1)
- Then we can see the icons next to each user. We can click on those icons to make the corresponding users optional.(Refer Fig 2)
