A total number of 26 swine flu cases have been detected in the country during the period between October 4 and 8, the Ministry of Education(MoE)has announced. Meanwhile, Tamadher Al-Sadairawi, the Deputy Minister of Education toured all the schools located in the Saad Al-Abdullah area, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Jahra educational directorate, in order to supervise the preventive measures that have been implemented. She also visited the Al-Rabita Bint Al-Harith girls high school, where one of the infected cases among students was reported.
Al-Sadairawi also said that the Ministry gives top priority to the safety of students enrolled at all public and private schools in the country. She also urged worried parents to allow their children to resume classes at schools, and avoid paying heed to rumors, reported Al-Rai. Furthermore, MPs of the fifth constituency Dulaihi Al-Hajri, Salem Al-Nemlan, and Khalid Al-Tahous toured across the schools located in the Ahmadi educational directorate. They expressed satisfaction with the procedures carried out by Health and Education Ministries. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health has announced that 211 new cases were detected in the country last week, raising the number of infections since April to 3,092.
